CoinMeta data: Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley indicates that the upcoming closure of the spot product Dogecoin ETF ( BWOW ) reflects a clear difference between ETF investors and users of crypto trading applications. BWOW will cease trading on October 14th; as of October 7th, its asset management scale was only about $726,000, with trading volume in September amounting to approximately $51,500. In contrast, Bitwise Solana Staking ETF has already reached a net asset value of $1.3 billion. Horsley believes that investors are mainly betting on the benefits of tokenization, stablecoins, and on-chain financial activities for Solana. Bitwise also regards AI as a key focus area, launching last week the first spot product ETF that tracks NEAR, and has applied for Bitwise AI Cyber Defense ETF and Bitwise AI Bond ETF. He believes that AI and agent are more likely to utilize on-chain financial infrastructure such as smart contracts, and in a five-year investment strategy, there is a preference for index-based products like BitW and BitQ to reduce the risk associated with investing in a single crypto asset.
