According to CoinMeta, the leader of President Trump's Super Intelligence Working Group held a meeting on Thursday. Vice Chairman Scott Cooper stated that with the increase in AI investments and the growing public anxiety, U.S. allies wish to gain access to advanced AI models. Jay Clayton, Director of National Intelligence, presided over the working group, which also included Defense Department official Emir Michael and Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson as vice chairmen. Cooper hopes the group will meet next week to discuss cybersecurity threats affecting the banking, healthcare, and essential services providers. According to a Reuters/Ipsos survey, over half (57%) of registered voters believe the government does not take the risks of AI seriously, and 84% think AI could harm American workers. Most participants support stricter regulations to better control AI.
