DWF Labs sues BitGo for $141 million in compensation
2026-10-09 12:53:51
According to CoinMeta, and as reported by the Financial Times, DWF MAAS and Falcon Digital under DWF Labs have filed a lawsuit against the crypto custody firm BitGo in the London High Court, accusing it of violating over-the-counter (OTC) trading agreements by selling Falcon Finance and Esports tokens before the agreed lock-up period ended, which led to a decline in token prices. According to the complaint, both parties agreed on a discounted price for the tokens, but were required to adhere to a three-month lock-up period and subsequent phased unlocking arrangements. DWF claims that BitGo transferred the tokens to an exchange about two months before the first round of unlocking, causing a sell-off in the market and resulting in a loss of value for their remaining holdings, hence they are claiming $141 million in compensation. BitGo has refused to comment on the lawsuit, and the relevant allegations have not yet been ruled upon by the court.
