CoinMeta Data: Nvidia-supported Australian data center operator Firmus announces the cancellation of its $5 billion (about A$7 billion) IPO plan due to investors' dissatisfaction with its valuation. The company made this decision on October 9, 2026, and stated that it will seek private financing. The valuation of Firmus nearly tripled in just two months, rising from $1.85 billion in September 2025 to $5.5 billion in April 2026, and then to $10.5 billion in August. At the proposed price of A$11 per share, the equity valuation of Firmus is approximately $30.6 billion (about A$44 billion). The company currently has one data center each in Melbourne and Singapore, with another five under development in the Asia-Pacific region. Nvidia holds a 7.2% stake.
