According to CoinMeta, the South Korean Ministry of Finance and Economy has issued an administrative notice proposing to revise regulations related to CARF. The new requirements mandate that South Korean crypto asset service providers must keep records of external personal wallets and overseas wallet addresses involved in transactions for a period of 6 years, and that crypto asset payments exceeding $50,000 per transaction must be reported. These adjustments are aimed at aligning with the OECD crypto asset reporting framework, which will come into effect on January 1, 2027.
