According to CoinMeta, Jesse Pollak, the founder of base, stated that tokenized stocks and non-US dollar stablecoins will lead the next round of the “tokenization supercycle.” Pollak mentioned that Coinbase launched tokenized stocks on base about six weeks ago, and currently there are around 50 stocks with a daily trading volume of 70 million to 100 million US dollars, with plans to expand to 250 stocks by the end of this month. Over the past 12 months, the circulation of tokenized stocks has increased from approximately 400 million US dollars to 3.3 billion US dollars. base currently supports 32 types of stablecoins that cover 21 fiat currencies and plans to focus on expanding trading, payment, and financing services in 2027.
