2026-10-10 06:11:49
According to CoinMeta, Helena Virkuning, the EU's head of technology ( Henna Virkkunen ), stated on October 9, 2026, that the EU's ( AI ) legislation enables it to "deal with rogue ( AI ) agents." Her remarks were made after 60 scientific experts reviewed incidents that raised concerns about the control of autonomous ( AI ) systems. Virkuning pointed out that the EU's ( AI ) legislation covers the "full lifecycle" of advanced models and refuted the notion that the rules are outdated, claiming that security assessments and continuous monitoring have been incorporated into the framework. Sixty independent experts from the European Commission, in collaboration with the EU's ( AI ) office, developed questions regarding recent ( AI )-related incidents and provided security recommendations. Virkuning said, "The EU has the world's first legislation to address ( AI ) systemic risks, and we need the most advanced scientific input."
