According to CoinMeta, as reported by Yonhap, South Korea's KOSPI index has risen by more than 4%, marking the seventh time in 12 trading days that it has experienced a fluctuation of 3% or more. Throughout 2024, there have only been four instances of such significant fluctuations for this index. This rebound has been driven by gains on Wall Street and optimism regarding artificial intelligence. Samsung and SK Hynix are the two largest companies in this index, producing memory chips used in AI servers. Nevertheless, the index is still more than 35% below its historical high close of 9,114 points in June.
