As reported by Cailian Union on October 27th, at the 2026 Satellite Internet Industry Ecology Conference, Chi Nan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Fudan University, announced the deployment plan for the “Star Hub Plan.” The plan is divided into three phases: From 2026 to 2027, efforts will be made to fully establish a dual-space computing technology link, using domestic GPU to achieve 32POPS computing power and a star-to-star communication rate of 200Gbps; from 2028 to 2030, the plan is to scale up the space-based computing network, with the launch of 50 computing satellites and 100 edge computing satellites, including 24 optical remote sensing constellations, 48 SAR constellations, and 28 meteorological constellations; from 2031 to 2032, the goal is to become a global leader in computing network operations, completing the deployment of 800 computing satellites and 200 edge satellites, reaching a space-based computing power of millions of TOPS, and establishing an integrated space-ground computing data center, thereby achieving an annual output value of over 100 billion yuan in the computing power industry.
