According to CoinMeta, global payment technology company ACI Worldwide and stablecoin issuer Circle have announced a collaboration to explore the integration of stablecoin settlement capabilities, such as those of USDC, into existing banking and payment infrastructure in Latin America, with an initial focus on Colombia. The two parties plan to combine ACI's cloud-native payment platform ACI Connetic with Circle's USDC infrastructure to demonstrate how stablecoin settlements can work in conjunction with traditional payment processes, helping financial institutions to evaluate relevant settlement models within their existing operational systems without the need to establish separate digital asset payment systems. This collaboration is currently in the stage of technical demonstration and application evaluation, and no official commercial timeline has been disclosed yet.
