According to CoinMeta, Coinbase, Bithumb and two Korean companies have recently encountered data breaches. Coinbase denies that its internal systems were attacked, stating that a security incident with a third-party analytics company Amplitude led to the leakage of some customers' contact information, potentially affecting around 70,000 users. Bithumb confirmed that its employee mobile systems were accessed without authorization, resulting in the leakage of employees' names, work emails, and phone numbers. Daishin Securities reported that personal and financial information of approximately 38,490 customers was leaked. Bithumb is reviewing system records to confirm whether any customer information was compromised and has reported this incident to the Korean Internet and Security Agency.
