According to CoinMeta, as reported by nada and news, Toyota Financial completed the issuance of Toyota Group's first publicly offered securities-based token (st) on October 27th, namely the "toyota wallet Bond." This one-year digital bond was issued in an amount of 1 billion yen with an annual interest rate of 1.720%, and the minimum investment requirement was 100,000 yen. The final subscription volume exceeded the plan by more than ten times, and the allocation was determined through a lottery. This issuance bypassed traditional brokerage intermediaries, allowing individual investors to purchase directly through Toyota's electronic wallet app without the need to open a securities account. The aim of this approach is to directly link the bond issuance with ecosystem benefits such as access to events and car purchase subsidies.
