According to CoinMeta, Leung Man-fung has made his debut in the top ten of China’s richest list, with a net worth estimated at 280 billion yuan, surpassing Ding Lei and the Li Ka-shing family to rank seventh in China. According to the “2026 Hurun Rich List” released by Hurun Research Institute, 41-year-old deepseek founder Leung Man-fung was not on the list last year, mainly because he had previously advocated for “non-commercialization.” However, deepseek began large-scale financing this year, completing its first round of funding in June, with a pre-investment valuation of about 500 billion yuan in August, and another round of financing in October raising 106 billion yuan, bringing the post-investment valuation to over 600 billion yuan. The Hurun list uses September 1st as the cut-off date for wealth calculation, and Leung Man-fung’s 280 billion yuan is an estimated personal fortune. Hurun statistics show that this year, more than 160 entrepreneurs on the list come from the AI sector, accounting for about 10% of the total number.
