Google Launches Multi-Party Computation Security Services for Financial Institutions
2026-10-28 19:27:21
According to CoinMeta, as reported by CoinDesk, Google will launch a multi-party computing security service Google Multi - Party Compute ( MPC ) for financial institutions, aimed at protecting and transferring cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets. The product is currently in the private preview phase, with several large financial institutions already participating in testing, and is expected to be commercially available in early 2027. Google's parent company, Alphabet, has begun using this technology to protect its digital assets on the Ethereum and Solana networks, although the specific types of assets have not been disclosed. This service reduces the risk of single-point key leakage by distributing control over private keys across multiple independent environments, combined with transaction approval strategies, threshold signatures, and key recovery functions. Google states that customers retain control over their key materials, and Google cannot access these keys in an unencrypted form.
