According to CoinMeta, 33 American companies have opposed the tokenization of their stocks on the planned OKX-ICE exchange. The companies that oppose this include JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola, AMD, Adobe, Dell Technologies, Applied Materials, and SanDisk, among others. These objections may limit the initial list of stocks available on the platform, but OKX-ICE may still proceed with a compliant listing. On October 5th, OKX and ICE submitted a proposal under a five-year SEC innovation exemption, planning to launch a joint trading platform OKX-ICE that will initially offer 63 American stocks as tokens. According to the regulations, OKX-ICE must notify each company in writing before the listing, and if a company raises any objections within 30 days, OKX-ICE will not be able to provide tokenization of its stocks under this exemption. To date, companies worth a total of 17 trillion dollars have rejected the tokenization plans.
