CoinMeta data: According to The Coin Republic, while the foreign exchange fees seem minimal when using cryptocurrencies for overseas consumption, they accumulate with each hotel bill, restaurant payment, and shopping transaction. Taking a monthly consumption of $500 as an example, the 1% fee could result in an additional cost of $60 per year. By comparing four types of cryptocurrency cards – RedotPay, KAST, UPay, and ether.fi – it becomes clear that foreign exchange and conversion fees are not the only costs involved. The comprehensive fee for RedotPay is 2.2%, of which the foreign exchange fee accounts for 1.2%. The fees for KAST range from $2.50 to $8.75 per month, while UPay charges a regular purchase fee of 2%. ether.fi does not charge any foreign exchange fees for eligible euro purchases. Overall, users should consider their consumption patterns and fee structures when choosing a cryptocurrency card.
