According to CoinMeta, on October 29th, Cailian News reported that Microsoft announced that its cloud business revenue exceeded expectations, indicating that it continues to benefit from its substantial investments in the field of artificial intelligence. In a statement on Wednesday, Microsoft stated that in the quarter ending September, its highly anticipated cloud computing division Azure saw a 48% increase in sales, with total revenue growing by 19% to $92.3 billion. Analysts had previously expected a 44% increase in Azure sales and a 17% increase in total revenue. The company is attempting to commercialize artificial intelligence by selling AI enhanced workplace applications and by providing model access through Azure. For years, this business has been constrained by a shortage of computing power. Microsoft has launched a large-scale construction plan to expand its server clusters but is facing increasing pressure from investors to justify these substantial expenditures. Capital expenditure, a key indicator for data center spending, increased by 30% to $45.2 billion in that quarter. The company's previous forecast for annual expenditures for the current year was $175 billion.
