Ethereum DeFi Lending Protocol Diva Staking Announces Cease of Operations
2026-10-29 09:11:30
According to CoinMeta, the Ethereum staking protocol Diva Staking has announced its cessation of operations and has abandoned plans to launch on the mainnet. The team stated that the project ran out of funds in mid-2024, and thereafter, three members continued to develop it for nearly two and a half years without any income or salary. Although the protocol has been running stably on the hoodi testnet for four months, the team was unable to afford further security audits and mainnet maintenance costs due to a lack of support from large institutions, and thus decided to shut it down. Diva believes that the Ethereum staking market is becoming increasingly concentrated among large institutions, stating that as of the end of June this year, Bitmine, Coinbase, and Binance together accounted for approximately 30% of the total staking volume on the network.
