According to CoinMeta, Amazon spent over $77 billion on real estate and equipment in the third quarter, far exceeding analysts' expectations. The company continues to advance the construction of data centers to meet the growing demand for artificial intelligence services. This expenditure resulted in a free cash outflow of $42.4 billion for the company. Amazon also reported that its revenue increased by 12% year-on-year, reaching $201.9 billion. Although its cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services (AWS), saw accelerating sales growth for the sixth consecutive quarter, signs of weak growth in its core online business are beginning to emerge. Amazon has also expanded the scale of its data centers, enhancing its ability to provide computing power to corporate customers. In July, Amazon stated that due to constraints on the supply of storage chips, the company's capital expenditures in 2026 could reach $220 billion, higher than previous forecasts.
