According to CoinMeta, as reported by Eleanor Terrett, I, who have just arrived in London, have learned that the crypto industry is facing the largest hacker attack in its history. Reports indicate that the total loss so far is approximately $5.9 billion, with potential losses exceeding $1 billion. It is worth noting that the world's largest crypto exchange, Binance, has the resources to compensate customers for their losses, and stablecoin issuers have also taken prompt action by freezing over $1.5 billion in funds related to this hack. Meanwhile, a certain platform has assured its customers that it is an independent entity from Binance Global and has not been affected by this hacker attack. This year, there have been more than 200 security incidents in the crypto industry, including a hack involving nearly $388 million at Bitget.
