OKX CEO: Security is the common responsibility of the entire crypto industry
2026-10-30 09:45:30
According to CoinMeta, the recent security incidents involving Bybit, Bitget, and Binance should serve as a wake-up call for every leader in the crypto industry. Security should not be a field of commercial competition; rather, it is a shared responsibility to protect customers and the entire industry. He noted that over the past decade, major crypto exchanges have made significant progress in protecting private keys, and there have been relatively few incidents involving direct private key leaks in recent years. There is currently no conclusive evidence of a leak from the hot wallets of Binance, but a greater concern may lie in vulnerabilities in access control and wallet management systems. He emphasized that companies that have not experienced major security incidents should not assume that they are inherently secure or immune to attacks.
