Solana has been launched on the mainnet. Transaction v1. This upgrade corresponds to proposal SIMD-0385, which is driven by Anza. Once the upgrade takes effect, complex tasks can be completed more efficiently within a single atomic transaction, rather than relying on multiple transactions being concatenated as in the past, or relying on address lookup tables, Jito, bundles, and other methods for combined execution.
From a practical perspective, the amount of information that can be conveyed in a single transaction has increased by more than three times, which leaves more room for the design of on-chain applications and also lowers the barriers to implementing some complex interactions.
The transaction sorting method is also adjusted accordingly.
In addition to increasing capacity, Transaction and v1 have also adjusted the internal structure of the transactions. The signature has been moved to the end of the transaction, and key configurations such as the upper limit of computing units and priority fees have been placed in fixed positions.
According to SolanaFloor, in this way, when the network sorts transactions by priority fee, there is no need to scan and deserialize the entire list of instructions, as was the case in the Legacy and v0 versions. This helps to improve processing efficiency.
zk Proves Benefits of Private Transfers
A larger transaction limit is considered to be able to alleviate some of the restrictions that certain use cases have previously faced. Reports mention that developers expect this to be beneficial for the advancement of zk proofs, confidential transfers, Winternitz signatures, nested multi-signatures, and BLS schemes, among other areas.
At the same time, more direct uses have also emerged within the community. Since a single transaction can accommodate more bytes, some developers have begun to include audio and video content within memecoin related transactions, leading to new directions in on-chain experimentation.

After the launch of Transaction and v1, the focus of Solana shifts to the upgrade arrangements for the fourth quarter, which include continuing to shorten the duration of slot, reducing account rental costs, and advancing the upgrade of Alpenglow.
