Yanyang ( AAEON ) announced yesterday the launch of a UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air mini-host based on the 3rd generation Intel Core Ultra processor “ Panther Lake ”.

This model does not come equipped with a traditional fan; instead, it utilizes the AirJet ultrasonic diaphragm active cooling technology from Frore Systems. As a result, it is 35% thinner and 43% lighter than the UP Xtreme PTL Edge model with a fan. However, the trade-off is an increase in power consumption by 6%, and its operating temperature range is narrowed to between -10°C and +45°C.

With a thickness of only 35.8 millimeters, UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air is suitable for applications with limited space, such as ultra-thin self-service terminals, low-clearance AMR enclosures, and compact mobile medical units. In addition, due to the absence of fan vibration, the operating noise is below 21dB(A).

Optional Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, Ultra 7 356, and Ultra 5 325 processors; provides 2 M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD bays, wireless network card slots, 2 USB-C 40Gbps ports, 2 2.5GbE RJ-45 ports, 2 COM ports, as well as a set of 40- Pin GPIO interfaces.
