News from the IT community on October 2nd: The institution Signal65 released a report yesterday (October 1st) showing that Qualcomm's 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite chip (specific model: X2E-88-100) outperforms Intel's Core Ultra X7 358H processor in CPU, AI, productivity, and most battery life-related tests.
As cited in the IT blog post, the three processor chips used in this test are listed as follows:
In the multi-core test with more than 7 cores, the Snapdragon system scored 24,016, while the Intel system scored 18,360, giving Snapdragon a 31% lead. In the single-core test, Snapdragon scored 3,237 and Intel scored 2,602.


The Snapdragon system also leads in multiple AI tests. The UL Procyon AI Computer Vision score is 4,360, while the Intel system scores 2,302. In the AI CV 2.0 WinML tests, Snapdragon still leads Intel by about 31%.
Battery life tests show that the Snapdragon system can last for 16.1 hours during local video playback, while the Intel system lasts for 14.4 hours. In browsing tests, the durations are 11.2 hours for the Snapdragon system and 8.6 hours for the Intel system. In the office battery life category, Intel leads with 17.4 hours, compared to Snapdragon's 14.3 hours.
