The emerging sustainable contract trading platform Imperial has raised $1.5 million in its seed financing round, led by Foundation Capital.
Imperial adopts a new perp AMM design, and its Armada product combines the high performance of Solana with cross-chain DeFi liquidity, providing traders with a purportedly 7-times deeper order book, and a transaction fee of only 1 basis point, which is leading in the industry.
This round of financing of $1.5 million by Imperial coincides with the launch of the platform's second season reward campaign; this campaign had indicated that 30% of the tokens would be distributed to loyal traders on the platform.
After making a strong debut earlier this year, Imperial is upgrading its product portfolio and has attracted investment from one of the earliest supporters of Solana. This seed round was led by Foundation Capital, and Rodolfo Gonzalez, a general partner of that firm, is one of the first investors to participate in Solana through GP. Imperial has successfully completed its seed financing round, raising $1.5 million with a valuation of $15 million.
Foundation Capital General Partners Rodolfo Gonzalez What attracted us to invest in Imperial is the team's ability to think independently about how the market operates. With their profound technical capabilities and a clear understanding of traders' needs, they address the liquidity challenges of Solana: deeper markets and better execution. We are delighted to support this team as they bring this approach to the perpetual contract market of Solana.
As one of the more diversified early-stage capital allocators in the tech industry, Foundation Capital's current portfolio includes well-known crypto companies such as Solana, Helius, and OpenSea, as well as widely recognized companies like Netflix and Cerebras.
The funds raised in this round of financing will be used to expand Imperial's unique product portfolio, which includes the existing perpetual contract aggregator and principal brokerage lending platform, as well as its new flagship project Armada — the first "perp AMM" on Solana.
Imperial's perp AMM: 7 times higher liquidity, 1 basis point in handling fees
With the announcement of a $1.5 million seed round financing, Imperial also launched its new flagship product, Armada.
prop and AMM have revolutionized on-chain spot trading and defeated centralized exchanges in the competition, while Armada applies the same concept to perpetual contracts. Imperial's perp and AMM obtain liquidity from giants such as Hyperliquid and DeFi, allowing traders to access the deepest order books in the market without leaving Solana.

Market data shows that Armada has an order book depth in the BTC market that is nearly 7 times that of the leading platform, which is Solana Layer -1. For traders, this means they can open larger positions without having to bear excessive slippage, wider bid-ask spreads, and losses resulting from poor execution.
In addition to providing the deepest order book on Solana, the fee structure of Armada is also highly competitive among all perpetual contract platforms. Armada charges only 1 basis point of taker fees, which means traders only need to pay $1 for every $10,000 in notional trading volume.

In practical operation, this means that traders can save a considerable amount of fees by simply transferring their existing trading activities to Imperial. Taking the example mentioned above, a user saved $179 on a trading volume of approximately $750,000, which represents a 73% reduction in fees compared to competitive Solana perpetual contract platforms.
In addition, Armada also plans to be the first to launch OpenAI, Anthropic, and other IPO pre-asset products, providing traders with leverage access to some of the most difficult-to-reach private assets in the financial world.
Season The 1-point bonus activity continues.
While launching Armada, traders can still participate in the Season points campaign of Imperial. Based on their trading activity, traders can improve their rankings and unlock higher points multipliers.
As is common in the crypto industry, early users may benefit from their curiosity. In Season, traders who joined during the era of “Imperial” and “Romulus” received higher bonus multipliers than those who joined during the “Remus” era.
Although not yet confirmed, this mechanism may be extended to subsequent seasons in the future, allowing early adopters to maximize their Imperial point allocation.
