The debut of Evernorth on NASDAQ, which was scheduled to happen, has been postponed by four days. This means that one of the largest XRP reserve tools on this public market will now make its appearance on October 12 instead of the original date of October 8.
The initial source of information was an 8-K filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 6th ( SEC ), rather than a notice of delisting from NASDAQ. The filing stated that due to "administrative delays," the expected completion time for the business merger between Evernorth and Armada Acquisition Corp II has been postponed to around October 9th, and Class A common shares are expected to begin trading on NASDAQ under the symbol XRPN around October 12th. Evernorth indicated that this delay is not expected to affect the completion of the transaction.
Armada The shareholders approved this transaction on September 30th.
What actual changes have taken place?
The previous schedule was for the transaction to be completed on October 7th, with XRPN starting trading on October 8th. The new arrangement has postponed the completion of the transaction by two days and the first day of trading in the public market by four days.
It should be emphasized that what is listed on NASDAQ is not XRP itself. XRPN represents the stocks of Evernorth. Evernorth is a company that has received support from Ripple, and its strategic core is to hold and actively utilize XRP.
This difference was originally a core feature of the plan to list on NASDAQ for Evernorth. Evernorth is expected to hold approximately 473 million XRP upon completion of the transaction, and will also have a total cash income of about $300 million, making it one of the largest listed reserve tools focused on XRP.
Will this delay have an impact on XRP?
The impact on the supply of XRP is limited, as the large-scale reserves of Evernorth were established before its listing.
The holding of approximately 473 million tokens was known to the market months ago, and the company's overall reserve strategy is not merely passive holding. Evernorth plans to strive to increase the exposure per share of XRP through lending, providing liquidity, and other ecosystem activities.
The company can also utilize a note of $30 million to provide funds for the additional purchase of XRP after the transaction is completed.
Therefore, for investors, the more important date is October 12th. Once XRPN begins trading, the market will for the first time be able to clearly see how much demand actually exists for a listed company that is almost entirely built around the open interest of XRP.
Evernorth is not XRP ETF. Its proactive reserve model means that future performance may depend not only on the market value of XRP but also on the management's ability to increase the number of XRP shares held per share; this distinction sets it apart from simpler spot products, as well as the broader list of XRP reserve companies.
