Samsung, the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer, is integrating the native Solana stablecoin into its wallet app, providing a potential pathway for stablecoins to reach millions of mainstream users.
Samsung stated that it is collaborating with Solana to introduce the native stablecoin transfer function into Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay, enabling 82 million users of Galaxy devices in the United States to directly conduct cross-border $USDC transfers through the wallets they are already using.
Users in the United States with the Samsung Wallet account will be able to start using $USDC for cross-border remittances as early as the last week of October 2026. Users will be able to send remittances through the same interface as that used for swiping cards, boarding passes, and identity verification. The integrated fiat currency deposit and withdrawal channel will also allow users to convert between stablecoins and local currencies, with the underlying transactions being processed by the Solana infrastructure.
Samsung plans to expand this feature to more markets, subject to compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Samsung had previewed this integration in July.
This collaboration continues Samsung's plan announced in July to add support for native stablecoins to Samsung Wallet.
Samsung Product Manager Lee Dinham revealed this plan during the event on July 22nd at Galaxy Unpacked in London, where he introduced Samsung Galaxy Card. Samsung Galaxy Card is the company's first credit card, which was launched in the United States through Barclays and Visa.
In the demonstration, Dinham indicated that stablecoins will help to facilitate rapid digital value transfers and will assist in building Samsung Wallet into the foundation of an interconnected financial ecosystem between Galaxy devices and services.
The Executive Vice President and Head of the Business Digital Wallet Team at Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience ( MX ), Woncheol Chai, stated: "The goal of Samsung Wallet is to make useful experiences simple and intuitive. Stablecoins have the potential to make global capital flows faster and easier, and we hope that Galaxy users can benefit from this without having to deal with the complexity of traditional crypto tools. Solana helps us to achieve this experience on a scale that only Samsung can provide."
The stablecoin market of Solana is expanding.
As the stablecoin activities on Solana reached new heights, Samsung's integration also followed. According to Artemis data, the supply of stablecoins on Solana reached a historic high of 17.6 billion US dollars on October 5th.
The supply of stablecoins for Solana has increased by nearly 20% year-on-year, and the network has processed over $5.25 trillion in stablecoin transactions in 2026. Several large companies, including PayPal and Western Union, have already adopted Solana in their stablecoin activities, further enhancing the role of this network in digital dollar payments.

Chairman Lily Liu stated: "Over the past decade, stablecoins have proven the feasibility of this technology. What they lack is a way to enter the mainstream. Samsung has decided to collaborate with Solana to bring the digital dollar into everyday life through one of the most trusted technology brands in the world. This level of adoption is exactly what we have been working towards for Solana. We are witnessing a moment where stablecoins are no longer just crypto products, but are beginning to become a means for people to transfer funds."
Regulation may accelerate adoption
U.S. regulators are moving towards clearer regulations for stablecoin payments. On September 30th, Republican senators released the draft text of the ADAPT bill, which proposes to amend U.S. crypto taxation rules. One of the provisions would mean that eligible users of dollar-stablecoins will not have to report gains or losses when using stablecoins to purchase goods or services.
The proposal will limit eligibility to stablecoins that meet the requirements of the GENIUS legislation and are listed on the list approved by the Ministry of Finance. As stablecoins become increasingly popular, the regulatory environment may become increasingly important.
Samsung is currently the world's largest smartphone manufacturer. Integrating native Solana stablecoins directly into millions of devices without the need for third-party software represents a significant leap forward for the adoption of stablecoins. Samsung's integration provides a distribution channel for Solana stablecoins that does not require users to understand cryptographic infrastructure. Users only need to complete the transactions, with the rest being handled by the underlying Solana infrastructure.
