As previously reported by IT, on September 20th, Stepwise launched its flagship model Step 5 Preview targeting scenarios such as AI programming, software engineering, professional knowledge work, and finance, aiming to enhance the model's performance in executing real-world Agentic tasks. On October 15th, the complete weights of the model were made open-source.
This model adopts a sparse MoE hybrid expert architecture, with a total of 600B parameters and 27B activation parameters. It supports up to 1 million Token context windows and natively handles both text and visual inputs.
