Nokia has agreed to sell its private wireless business Enterprise Campus Edge ( ECE ) to the private equity firm Aurelius; the transaction amount has not been disclosed. The deal is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027.
Nokia stated that under the ownership of Aurelius, ECE will gain greater independence. ECE focuses on private wireless technology and claims to have approximately 900 customers, covering industries such as manufacturing, mining, and logistics. According to usual negotiations and discussions, the employees of ECE are expected to transfer to Aurelius in accordance with local laws.
Nokia's Chief Corporate Officer, Konstanty Owczarek, stated that this proposed transaction "supports Nokia's strategy of optimizing its product portfolio and directing capital and resources towards areas that can create the greatest long-term value."
Last year, there were signs indicating that ECE might be sold. At that time, Nokia categorized it in the “portfolio businesses” group, which included assets that performed poorly and were not popular.

What's more interesting is that BT has placed its broadband router in the fictional Rovers Return bar as part of a quirky and highly imaginative product placement campaign. This campaign involves two of the most popular British soap operas, Coronation Street and Emmerdale. The promotional materials for BT state that this "dual-soap opera product placement" is the first time the brand has combined Coronation Street and Emmerdale into a custom cooperative advertisement, integrating elements from both shows.

British alternative internet provider Gigaclear stated that the installation of fiber optic cables in rural areas of North Oxfordshire was completed four months ahead of schedule. This deployment covered 3,880 households and businesses, and was undertaken by Building Digital UK ( BDUK ), which was then contracted to Gigaclear as part of the UK government-funded Project Gigabit program. The contract amount was 8.2 million pounds (10.8 million US dollars). In April, The Financial Times reported that a group of creditors consisting of 11 lending institutions had taken over Gigaclear after carrying out a "write-down" on the company's loans.
