On January 26th, Apple released a brand-new AirTag tracker. This accessory allows users to track and find important items through Apple's "Find" App feature. The new product also expands the search range and is equipped with louder speakers.

In terms of pricing, the single-piece set costs 249 yuan, and the four-piece set costs 849 yuan. Today, after the JD national subsidy, the four-piece set is priced at 763 yuan, with each piece costing approximately 191 yuan. After the national subsidy, the single-piece set is priced at 223 yuan.

According to the introduction, Apple has equipped the new AirTag with the same second-generation ultra-wideband technology chip as found in the iPhone 17 series models, iPhone, Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch Series 11, making it easier to locate.

The precise search function uses vibration, visual, and audio feedback to guide users in finding lost items, with a search range that has been expanded by up to 50% compared to previous generations. At the same time, the upgraded Bluetooth chip has extended the range within which items can be located.

Users can use the precise search function for the first time through Apple Watch Series 9 or subsequent models, Apple Watch Ultra 2 or subsequent models to find AirTag.

Leveraging an updated internal design, the speaker volume of the new AirTag has been increased by 50% compared to its predecessor, allowing users to hear the sound of the AirTag from up to twice the distance as before. Combined with an enhanced precise search function and a newly designed, easily recognizable beep, the AirTag helps users find important items more easily, such as keys hidden between sofa cushions or their wallets before heading out the door.

The new AirTag seamlessly integrates the feature of sharing item locations. This iOS function is designed to help users securely share the location information of lost items temporarily with trusted third parties (such as airlines), so that they can assist in finding delayed luggage and other lost items. Apple collaborates directly with over 50 airlines to receive shared item location links in a private and secure manner. Through this feature, users can share the location information of their lost items with the customer service teams of the cooperating airlines.

Apple claims that AirTag does not store location data or history on the device side, and end-to-end encryption protects all communications over the "Find" network, ensuring that only the device owner can access their location data.

The new AirTag features an environmentally conscious design, with its casing made from 85% recycled plastic. All magnets use 100% recycled rare earth elements, and the electroplated layers on all Apple-designed printed circuit boards are made with 100% recycled gold. The paper packaging is composed of 100% fibrous materials, which facilitates recycling. The new AirTag maintains the same exterior design as its predecessor and is compatible with all existing AirTag accessories, including finely woven keychains that are 68% recycled and available in five different colors.

The new AirTag is available for purchase through the Apple official website and Apple Store App starting today, and will also be available in Apple Store retail stores later this week. The new AirTag will also be available at authorized dealers of Apple.

The new AirTag requires iOS version 26 or a later compatible iPhone, or iPad with OS or later versions of iPad. Users must have a Apple account and log in to their own iCloud account. The "Search" function must be enabled in the iCloud settings to use certain features. The precise search function of Apple Watch requires watchOS version 26.2.1 with Apple Watch Series 9 or later models, or Apple Watch Ultra version 2 or later models.

Even if Bitcoin plunges by 15% in a single day, crypto exchanges may still charge millions of dollars in fees – that's the logic of their business.
The article states that the main revenue for cryptocurrency exchanges comes from matching transactions, rather than betting on price fluctuations themselves. Therefore, even if Bitcoin experiences a sharp drop in a short period of time, the increased trading activity resulting from panic selling, bottom-fishing, and forced liquidations could still boost the platform's transaction fees. However, the author also points out that amplified volatility does not necessarily lead to higher profits. If the bear market persists and user participation, trading volume, and platform asset balances decline, exchange revenues may still face pressure.

IMF Warning: The Middle East economy may shrink by 1.3% in 2026, but is expected to rebound by 6.6% the following year
The International Monetary Fund expects that the economies of the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan will shrink by 1.3% in 2026, followed by a rebound of 6.6% in 2027. IMF indicates that this outlook depends on the normalization of trade and shipping, as well as a recovery in oil production; if conflicts continue or energy disruptions recur, the recovery could be hindered.
