Google announces that since its launch in 2021, its Android earthquake warning system has sent out over 1 billion alerts in total, and has expanded its coverage from 98 countries and regions to more than 200. The company has also upgraded the "Prevention Alerts" feature, and will gradually add more earthquake information display functions in the coming months.
IT News: On October 15th, local time, Google announced that it had pushed Android earthquake alerts more than 1 billion times in total.

Since its launch in 2021, the system has issued over 1 billion alerts in total, helping users to take precautions in advance of severe shaking. On the same day, Google also announced that it would expand the coverage of the system from 98 countries and regions to more than 200.
Google has also upgraded its latest "warning system" to provide users with more comprehensive information within seconds. In areas where the early warning service is enabled, Android users will receive one of three levels of alerts once an earthquake occurs:

- Note ( Be Aware ): Applicable to brief notifications indicating minor shaking, suggesting that an earthquake has just been detected in the vicinity.
- Prevention ( Be Ready ): Applicable to detailed notifications in cases of strong shaking, reminding users to prepare for risk avoidance.
- Take immediate action ( Take Action ): Suitable for full-screen alerts during moderate to severe shaking, providing direct guidance on emergency evacuation procedures.
IT has learned that in the coming months, the alert interface will gradually include a map showing the radius affected by seismic waves, an estimated earthquake magnitude, emergency measures that can be taken, and operation buttons to view detailed information in real-time as the latest disaster situation is updated.

Not just CoreWeave, data center bonds are also facing a 'collective sell-off'According to the UK's Financial Times, the data center bond market is experiencing a widespread sell-off. Prices have fallen across the board, ranging from bonds financing large-scale projects leased to Meta, Microsoft, and NVIDIA, to debts issued by emerging cloud computing companies such as CoreWeave. Gartner predicts that if AI's infrastructure investments continue on their current trajectory, over $4 trillion in assets could be at risk of impairment by 2032; the chief investment officer of Allianz Group has warned that the data center bond market is facing a moment of "survival of the fittest."
