Atlanta, October 20th / PRNewswire / -- Carpool Logistics, which provides a vehicle logistics platform for dealers, auction houses, fleets, and original equipment manufacturers ( OEM ), today announced the launch of Carpass ™. This is a patented safety vehicle delivery system that links each delivery with verified drivers, confirmed pickup locations, and time-limited digital credentials. Carpass , together with carrier audits, real-time GPS tracking, geolabeled vehicle inspection photos, account takeover monitoring, and role-based access control, constitutes a multi-layered fraud prevention defense system for Carpool. The system is already being rolled out across the Carpool network and is expected to be fully deployed by the end of 2026, with it being provided free of charge for every Carpool shipment.

Access control passes can allow vehicles to pass through, but they cannot prove the identity of the driver. Paper access control passes can be forwarded, and screenshots can be reused. At most dealerships, as long as the porter verifies the correct name, they will hand over the keys to the person in question. The gap between when the carrier assigns the keys and when the vehicle is actually handed over is precisely where fraud, theft, and disputes occur.

Carpass is designed precisely to fill this gap. Before a vehicle is released, the driver's identity must be verified through government-issued identification documents and real-time facial comparison. The driver must also be within the designated geographical boundary for pickup, and the release permit must be valid and not expired. If any of these conditions are not met, the vehicle will not be allowed to proceed. At auction sites, Carpass verifies the driver against existing access badges; at dealerships, it establishes traceable handover records that did not exist before.

Carpool Logistics, Co-Founder and CEO, stated: "What we do is a business based on trust. Customers entrust their vehicles to us, expecting them to be driven by drivers assigned by us, not by people who just hold a pass to gain access through the security gates." Carpass is exactly how we prove this at the entrance. We include this as part of every transportation service, because such trust should not incur any additional costs."

Drivers using this service for the first time need to complete a one-time identity verification within the Carpool driver app. Once the verification is successful and they enter the designated delivery area, they will receive details regarding the vehicle release along with a time-limited encrypted QR code. Gatekeepers can scan this QR code using any smartphone camera without the need to use the app or log in, and will be able to see the driver's verified name, photo, company information, DOT number, and the assigned vehicle. The QR code cannot be screenshots, forwarded, or reused. Each verification attempt and vehicle release is recorded in a complete audit trail. This system also prevents the unauthorized use of drivers' DOT numbers and identities, and has already prevented fraudulent attempts during the pilot phase.

Carpool Logistics, the Vice President of Products, stated: "Carpass follows only one rule: verify the driver, confirm the location, and enforce time restrictions at the same moment; otherwise, the vehicle will not move. From encrypted release codes to geographic fencing, to biometric matching, every layer of the system is based on the principle that what is granted access with an access pass is the vehicle itself, not the person driving it."

Carpass No additional hardware or software is required from the shipper or gatekeepers. Carpool A patent application has been filed for its multi-factor authentication architecture. For more information, please visit https :// www.carpoollogistics.com / carpass.

U.S. social security benefits may be cut by 22% by 2032 – and one solution would see a 40% increase in payroll taxes for millennials and Gen Z
The U.S. Social Security Administration announced that the cost of living would be adjusted by 3.6% in 2027, and approximately 72 million beneficiaries will receive higher monthly payments starting next year. However, a more significant issue is that the main social security trust fund is expected to be depleted by 2032. By then, if there are no legislative or revenue-increasing measures, benefits scheduled to be paid may be automatically cut by 22%. The article also states that if the gap is to be filled solely by raising payroll taxes, the tax rate would need to increase from the current 12.4% to 17.3%.
