Billboard has been tracking the best-selling albums in the United States for over several decades.

To top this list is in itself a major achievement, especially when an artist manages to do so with multiple different albums.

Only a few artists have achieved a double-digit number of championship albums, including contemporary superstars such as Taylor Swift, Drake, Jay-Z, and Future. Listed below in descending order of quantity.

Editor's Note:Although Elvis Presley, the "King of Rock and Roll," is often credited with having 10 championship albums, Billboard a representative told Business Insider that most of his most important works were created before the inception of the modern Billboard charts in 1963.

Madonna ( Madonna ) — 10

Madonna's album from 2026, " Confessions II ", became her 10th album to top the Billboard 200 chart.

Madonna is also the first artist to have a number-one album in the 2020s, having previously topped the chart in three other decades: twice in the 2010s ("Madame X" and "MDNA"), four times in the 2000s ("Hard Candy", "Confessions", "on", "Dance Floor", "American Life", and "Music"), and three times in the 1980s ("Like", "Prayer", "True Blue", and "Like").

Bruce Springsteen ( Bruce Springsteen ) — 11

Bruce Springsteen has a total of 11 album championships, spanning over three decades, from 1980's The River all the way to 2014's High Hopes – although Springsteen has yet to achieve a number one single on the Billboard Hot chart to this day.

Barbara Streisand ( Barbra Streisand ) — 11

Barbara Streisand first topped the Billboard charts in 1964 with “People”.

51 years later, her 2016 studio album " Encore : Movie Partners Sing Broadway " topped the chart, setting a record for the longest interval between champions.

Before Taylor Swift broke this record in 2023, Streisand had always held the record for the most number-one albums by a female artist.

Kanye West ( Kanye West ) — 11

Ye still releases music under the name Kanye West. His first time reaching the top of the Billboard chart was in 2005, with the song " Late Registration ".

In 2024, his collaboration with Ty Dolla and ign on "Vultures 1" brought him his 11th consecutive championship album.

Eminem ( Eminem ) — 11

When Eminem's " The Marshall Mathers LP " was released in 2000, it sold over 1 million copies in its first week, easily topping the Billboard chart at number one.

20 years later, " Music to Be Murdered By " debuted at the top of the charts, becoming Eminem's 10th historic championship album. In 2024, he won his 11th championship album with " The Death of Slim Shady ( Coup de Gr â ce )".

Future — 11

Future won his first championship album in 2015 with DS2; since then, this album has remained on the Billboard chart for over 300 weeks.

In 2024, Future's Mixtape Pluto made its debut and topped the charts – this is his third championship album in just 6 months, as well as his eleventh overall.

Earlier in the same year, Future also topped the charts with collaborations "We Don 't Trust You" and "We Still Don 't Trust You" with Metro Boomin. The former became widely known for reigniting the dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar (Kendrick Lamar).

Jay-Z — 14

Drake ( Drake ) — 15

During his teenage years, Drake starred in a role in "Degrassi", before turning to a career in music. From "Thank Me Later" in 2010 to "Iceman" in 2026, he has accumulated a total of 15 championship albums.

His total also includes 1 copy of mixtape ("Care Package"), 3 collaborative albums ("What A Time To Be Alive" with Future, "Her Loss" with 21 Savage, and "$ ome $ exy $ ongs 4 U" with PartyNextDoor), as well as 1 item mysteriously labeled as "playlist" ("More Life").

Taylor Swift ( Taylor Swift ) — 15

Taylor Swift has only one album that hasn't reached the top: her debut album by the same name, which peaked at number 5 in 2008.

Later in the same year, she won her first championship with “Fearless”; thereafter, this album was listed as the 4th largest album in the history of Billboard. Entering the 2020s, Swift re-recorded four of her older albums and renamed each newly released version as “Taylor 's Version”. All four of these re-released albums also reached the top of the charts.

Recently, the album " The Life of a Showgirl " from 2025 debuted at the top of the charts with the highest single-week sales volume in history, breaking Adele's record. This marks her 15th number-one album, further expanding her record as the female artist with the most number-one albums. She has also tied the record for the highest number of number-one albums among individual artists.

Swift also broke Elvis Presley's record for the most cumulative weeks at number one as a solo singer in the Billboard chart.

The Beatles ( The Beatles ) — 19

The Beatles also hold the two records for having the most Billboard Hot number-one singles (100) and the most Billboard number-one albums (200). The latter includes classic works such as Revolver (1966), Sgt . Pepper 's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), Abbey Road (1969), as well as the compilation album "1" (2000) released after the band's dissolution.

As individual musicians, Paul McCartney ( Paul McCartney ) also topped the Billboard 200 chart 8 times, while John Lennon ( John Lennon ) managed to do so 3 times before his death in 1980.
