SAiMON Robotics participates in the Ascend 2026 conference to evaluate its autonomous aerial platform for its robotics as a service business

The company has evaluated drone technologies based on aprons that meet the requirements of NDAA, as well as remote-controlled models, in order to expand the system options available for public safety and security customers.

Las Vegas, October 22nd / PRNewswire / -- SAiMON Robotics, which provides robotics and drone as a service solutions for public safety and security organizations, announced today that the company participated in the invitation-only annual user conference Ascend 2026. The conference was held from September 23rd to 24th in Summerlin, Nevada.

The SAiMON Robotics team utilized this meeting to evaluate the latest autonomous aerial technologies, including drones that can take off and return from a helipad without the need for an on-site pilot, as well as remote-controlled fixed-wing aircraft. There was also software for dispatching drones to verify alarms before personnel could respond. This assessment supports the company's ongoing efforts to expand the platforms it can offer to customers, with a focus on systems that comply with the requirements of the Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) applicable to drone purchases by U.S. government agencies.

In the “Robot as a Service” (RaaS) model of SAiMON Robotics, customers contract to use robots and drones as a service, rather than purchasing, maintaining them, and staffing them themselves. The company is currently operating autonomous drones for institutional clients in Mexico and the United States, supporting key tasks such as large-scale monitoring, perimeter security, infrastructure surveillance, and strategic asset protection. These systems perform pre-programmed tasks based on each customer's operational needs, combining autonomous capabilities with human supervision. Human operators command and authorize each deployment.

SAiMON Robotics CEO Heberto Molina stated: "Public safety agencies wish to achieve coverage with autonomous systems while avoiding the costs and complexities associated with maintaining a fleet of vehicles. Ascend clearly demonstrates how rapidly operations based on helipads are maturing. Our job is to assess whether these platforms meet the needs of our clients and to provide them with the most suitable solutions in the form of services."
