The first public GPU cloud is expected to be launched in 2027, while Freedom is also building a sovereign AI hub worth $2 billion at the same time.
Astana, Kazakhstan, October 26, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Freedom Holding Corp. ( Nasdaq : FRHC ) is advancing its AI infrastructure plan in Kazakhstan, which includes a sovereign AI hub worth $2 billion, as well as the launch of the first public GPU cloud in 2027. The plan aims to expand access to computing resources for businesses, developers, and public institutions.

Freedom is developing this sovereign AI hub in accordance with an agreement signed with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan in November 2025. The planned land for this project can provide 100 megawatts of electricity. Freedom is the main financing and implementation partner of this project and will be responsible for operating the center.
The planned infrastructure is designed to support the training of the AI model, large-scale data processing, as well as the development of AI services for enterprises and governments. By accessing shared computing resources, various institutions can develop and run applications without the need to build their own server infrastructure.
Freedom Holding Corp. The CEO Timur Turlov stated that market demand has reached twice the planned production capacity of the first phase of this center. Major potential customers have expressed their willingness to pre-lease the production capacity for the next five years.
Freedom plans to open its first GPU cluster as a public cloud in 2027, providing computing power for AI workloads for enterprises and developers.
The group is also developing Freedom AI Super Cluster, aimed at serving governments, enterprises, and the scientific research community. The first phase is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2027. A new Freedom Cloud data center is currently under construction near Almaty. Freedom Cloud has already provided services to over 3,400 enterprise and public sector clients.
The international technology ecosystem of Freedom encompasses banking, brokerage, insurance, and telecommunications services, as well as lifestyle services that include ticketing, travel, e-commerce, and food delivery.
On October 23, Turlov met with Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, in Astana. This was Jensen Huang's first visit to Kazakhstan. Turlov introduced Freedom's technology ecosystem as well as its AI infrastructure plan.
Turlov indicates that Kazakhstan has developed a substantial talent pool, and these talents have already achieved technological accomplishments in the fields of e-commerce and finance. He said that, combined with the national-level AI infrastructure, this is becoming one of the country's main advantages in its global digital transformation.
The role of Freedom is to provide the necessary infrastructure to support this development. The company's investment in computing power and cloud services aims to help businesses and developers transform their local expertise into artificial intelligence applications and digital products.
