In " You Can See Everything ", it seems that someone has taken the " everything " in the title to its extreme.
A24 This new documentary, full of twists and turns, seemingly focuses on Theranos Elizabeth Holmes – one of Silicon Valley's most notorious criminals – but it is actually her long-term partner William "Billy" Evans (William “Billy” Evans) who frequently takes center stage.
Just a few weeks before Holmes was to begin her 11-year prison sentence, the couple invited co-directors Nathan Field and Lance Oberhaim to capture intimate moments of their family life. Evans seemed quite comfortable in front of the camera.
In fact, O'Brienheim said that the most attention-grabbing and revealing scene in this film was one that Evans himself proposed: the shot of him taking a naked shower.
Oberheim recently said in an interview with GQ: “On the way back from the gym, I told Billy, ‘We’ll give you some time to take a shower.’ But Billy replied, ‘Do you want to film me taking a shower?’ I suggested that we could do it in a way that wouldn’t capture his genitals, but Billy said he didn’t care if others saw him naked.”

Oberheim speculated that Evans might have wanted the audience to have 'full contact', but he also admitted that he was confused by this choice himself.
He said, “There’s a camera in the bathroom, and there’s also one in the place where Nathan is filmed. There’s another camera outside the bathroom. We also saw some interaction after Billy left; he smiled at the camera. So I don’t know what that means, but I think there’s enough content to make me feel that he might be quite excited, thinking that people can see everything and have full access. I guess that’s what it is. But to be honest, I really don’t get it.”

Oberheim stated that, to his knowledge, neither Holmes nor Evans had watched this film yet. Evans has not made any public comments about his portrayal in the film, nor has he responded to the request for comments regarding Business Insider.
Oppenheim said about “GQ”: “We haven’t been in contact with Billy for some time now. You can also see that in the film. Billy is a rather assertive person; he has discussed the future and distribution of the film with us on several occasions, which made us feel uncomfortable. So our communication was interrupted for a while.”
Holmes went to jail around halfway through the screening of “You Can See Everything”, but Field and Oppenheim continued to film Evans, documenting how he adapted to life as a single parent and an aspiring entrepreneur; on one occasion, Evans told Field that he planned to use the name of “Theranos” to start another company, “to do it again”.
In 2025, The New York Times and NPR reported that Evans had raised millions of dollars for a new blood testing startup called Haemanthus.
