Beijing, October 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- According to Xinhua Silk Road, Danobatgroup, a Spanish machine tool manufacturer, obtained a construction permit on September 24 for its Asia-Pacific headquarters project located in Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park, Minhang District, eastern China, just one day after the company acquired the land.
After more than two years of site selection, Danobatgroup finally chose Minhang as the location for its Asia-Pacific headquarters. This headquarters will integrate the research and development, manufacturing, and exhibition functions of high-end CNC machine tools.
Thereafter, senior executives from Danobatgroup's Spanish headquarters visited Shanghai for on-site inspections, met with supply chain partners, and had in-depth exchanges with leaders at the municipal and district levels. After understanding Shanghai's high-end equipment industry planning as well as the development plan for the machine tool industry in Minhang, Danobatgroup and TOPNC along with another 8 institutions jointly established an alliance in January 2025 to promote collaboration and innovation in Shanghai's machine tool industry.
Danobatgroup Zhong Heming, the CEO of China, stated that in Shanghai, Minhang provides not only industrial land but also an industrial ecosystem that facilitates collaborative innovation.
After evaluating alternative locations in other regions, Danobatgroup decided to establish its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Xinzhuang Industrial Park, Shanghai, and the two parties signed an investment agreement in February 2026.
Zhong Heming stated that setting up the Asia-Pacific headquarters in Shanghai marks a crucial step for Danobatgroup to shift from a sales-oriented layout to deeper and more long-term development in China. He also mentioned that Minhang not only boasts an innovative ecosystem filled with supply chain partners but also has a government team willing to collaborate with enterprises to advance the approval process.
