Enterprise-level AI and the Agent Security Platform Noma indicate that according to a new CISO survey, 77% of the surveyed companies have deployed AI agents in their production environments, and these companies have received relevant recognition.
New York, October 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Noma, which provides an intelligent agent security and governance platform for enterprises running AI intelligent agents on a large scale, announced today that it has been selected for the 2026-27 Fortune Cyber 60 list. This list is jointly launched by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Amazon Web Services and is published in collaboration with Fortune. The organizers stated that the list aims to honor 60 of the most important cybersecurity companies that have received venture capital support. Noma was selected for the "Early Growth" category.
Regarding the 2026-27 Fortune Cyber 60
This year marks the fourth edition of this list, which covers companies across the entire enterprise security technology stack, including areas such as AI security, identity security, cloud security, and data protection. The list is divided into three stages: early stage, early growth stage, and growth stage. There are 20 companies selected for each category, and only startups that have not yet undergone IPO, been acquired, or achieved other significant exits are included.
To compile the 2026-27 annual list, Lightspeed evaluated over 300 cybersecurity startups, taking into account factors such as annual recurring revenue, growth for the current year and the previous year, as well as business operations. Lightspeed combined the verification of the companies' self-reported data with its own research, feedback from its CISO network, and analysis of the broader market. The final list was then reviewed and confirmed by Fortune.
AI adopts a speed that is faster than the speed at which control measures are established around it.
A survey conducted by Wakefield Research from September 4 to 14, 2026, among 200 American CISO, which work for companies with an annual revenue of at least $500 million, shows that the adoption of AI by these companies is progressing faster than the construction speed of the control measures required to ensure their security. This survey was released alongside the list Lightspeed Cyber and CISO.
The survey found that 77% of the surveyed companies have deployed the AI agent into their production environments, but among those companies that are currently using or exploring agents, only 20% claim to have a complete list of agents. Confidence in the team's ability to assess and mitigate specific risks associated with AI has decreased from 71% last year to 55%. In addition, agent identity, authorization, and access governance will be the primary areas of focus for evaluation under the CISO plan over the next year, accounting for 55%.
Noma indicates that their platform integrates discovery, access control, red team testing, and runtime protection into a unified agent control plane, covering terminals, SaaS, and cloud environments. The company's Runtime Context Engine connects identity, intent, impact radius, and behavior that changes over time to detect when operations that were originally allowed become dangerous.
Noma CEO and Co-founder Niv Braun stated: "Today, agents have access to company data, tools, and production systems, and even permitted operations can be combined into dangerous behaviors. A survey by Lightspeed indicates that agent identity and access governance are the top priorities that CISO plans to evaluate next year. This recognition reflects our focus on providing security teams with a unified control plane to prevent out-of-control agents without slowing down business operations."
