U& I Ventures, founded by investor Kim Moore, announced today that its first fund has completed final fundraising, with a scale of $32.237 million, and there was over-subscription. This fund will support founders in the seed stage, with investment focus on security, engineering, and IT domain AI native infrastructure.
The company operates around a community composed of 1,800 individuals identified as CIO, CTO, and CISO. These technical leaders are aware of the issues that arise in various aspects of corporate technology and assist the founders supported by U&I in creating the products that companies truly need.
This approach has already begun to show results. During the oversubscribed seed financing round of Pluto Security, U&I managed to connect the company's founder and CEO, Shahar Bahat, with 68 enterprises in less than 24 hours. Another portfolio company, which is still in an anonymous state, is testing and evaluating autonomous AI agents in a production environment and has achieved preliminary pilot deployments among the Fortune 200 companies through U&I's network.
“I spent many years asking the founders what else they needed besides capital, and the answer was always: to connect with the right people,” said Kim Moore, founder and general partner of U& I Ventures. “That’s the foundation of U&I. Our network gives us a seat at the investment decision-making table, helping us understand what companies need before making investments. This value-adding mechanism allows founders to directly connect with those who can shape, validate, and ultimately adopt the products they build.”
Transforming corporate challenges into investment opportunities
U&I's investment model has been in the works for a long time. Before founding the company, Moore spent over a decade building relationships with corporate technology leaders, gaining firsthand knowledge of the infrastructure engineering gaps, security vulnerabilities, and operational challenges they faced.
Today, U&I holds closed-door discussions every week in San Francisco, New York, Tel Aviv, and London, with participants coming from a group of technology leaders. Its network includes nearly 650 CISO, security executives, 850 CTO, and over 300 CIO. The insights of these individuals help to guide investment decisions, while also providing founders with product feedback, industry expertise, and potential customer resources.
These long-term relationships give U&I an advantage on both ends of the investment process: on one hand, they help companies identify opportunities based on real needs, and on the other hand, they assist startups in developing their products with early feedback from potential customers.
Fund I plans to invest in 40 to 45 pre-seed and seed stage companies, with initial investment amounts ranging from $250,000 to over $800,000 per deal. The company has already made 9 investments in areas such as AI security, proxy reliability, compliance, and corporate infrastructure, including:
- Pluto Security: Provides security guarantees for enterprises adopting AI coding and application development platforms (the seed round was led by TLV Partners). By October 2026, when Pluto Security emerged from its stealth mode, it had raised a total of 42 million US dollars through two rounds of financing.
- ZeroDrift: Provides real-time visualization and control for each AI compliance decision. Monitoring, approval, blocking, and exporting of evidence can be performed on all AI communication interfaces (supported by a16z and speedrun).
In addition, the other 7 stealth investments involve autonomous vulnerability repair, proxy-based digital forensics, identity management, secure operations, testing and evaluating autonomous AI proxies in a production environment, as well as AI data infrastructure.
ZeroDrift, the founder and CEO, Kumesh Armoogan said: "U&I is by far the most helpful investor we have had to date."
"As companies deploy more and more autonomous AI systems, the security challenges they face are not something that existing tools are designed to address," said Alex Stamos, Chief Security Officer of Cognition and former Chief Security Officers of Facebook and Yahoo. "The technical leaders responsible for protecting these systems are most aware of where the vulnerabilities lie. By connecting these leaders with the founders as early as possible, U&I is helping to transform real-world security challenges into solutions that enterprises truly need."
Before founding U&I, Moore worked at Glynn Capital and Innovation Endeavors for over a decade and invested in enterprise infrastructure companies such as Chronosphere and Drata. She was the 23rd employee at Asana. Her early investments in security startups included Fig Security and Mate Security, both of which later completed Series A financing.
