Netanya, Israel, October 29th / PRNewswire / -- Tessera Defense and Homeland Security Inc. (New York Stock Exchange American Market: HLSQ) ("Tessera" or "the Company") announced today that its subsidiary Zorronet Ltd ("Zorronet") has received an additional order from a major Israeli defense agency to purchase third-party antenna systems, which will be integrated into the Zorronet systems previously purchased by the customer. This order is part of a pilot project aimed at enabling operators to communicate with and control autonomous air and ground systems from a greater distance.

The company stated that this combination of hardware and software is designed to maintain reliable communication, real-time visibility, and control capabilities even when the platform is deployed away from operators, including in complex field conditions.

This is Zorronet's first pilot project to combine long-range antennas with its autonomous systems into a complete solution, which integrates communication, processing, and control functions. Additional purchases from existing customers indicate that Zorronet has the potential to expand its business relationships by providing complementary third-party hardware that integrates with its existing technology set.

This transaction will also enable Zorronet to demonstrate its hardware integration capabilities in a real operational environment, and may lead to more projects involving autonomous systems, distributed operations, as well as remote command and control.

"This transaction marks an important step forward for Zorronet. We are expanding from merely providing software systems to offering autonomous solutions that include both hardware and software," stated Idan Wasserman, the CEO of Zorronet. "Our ability to integrate our technology with third-party antennas, drones, and ground robots allows us to provide defense agencies with more comprehensive, flexible, and tailored solutions. More importantly, we are no longer at the proof-of-concept stage. Our technology is already in operation in the field, and we are demonstrating its capabilities with our customers under real-world conditions."

"This project represents an important step in the expansion of Zorronet's role in the defense industry," said Michael Oster, the CEO of Tessera. "Existing defense customers are expanding their cooperation with Zorronet by incorporating additional hardware, which indicates that we can continue to grow based on our existing customer base. By integrating third-party communication devices with our technology, we can provide customers with more comprehensive solutions that better meet their operational needs. We believe that this approach can open up new business opportunities, strengthen our relationships with large defense organizations, and give Zorronet the opportunity to participate in larger and more comprehensive defense projects."
