IT News on October 30th: According to Bloomberg, sources familiar with the matter revealed that NVIDIA is discussing providing a credit guarantee for a data center project in Nscale. This facility is planned to be used by Anthropic.

This individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that this credit support will provide a guarantee for the electricity and construction costs of an artificial intelligence data center park in West Virginia. NVIDIA chips will be deployed within the park. NVIDIA is a leading manufacturer in the field of artificial intelligence processors and has already invested Nscale as well as in several other AI computing power service providers.
Nscale, headquartered in the UK, is accelerating the establishment of a number of large data centers, with the one in West Virginia being its flagship site. The company is also preparing for an IPO, but some investors oppose its target valuation of $30 billion (Note from IT: current exchange rate is approximately 203.06 billion RMB).
The Information Previously, there were reports about negotiations between NVIDIA and Nscale, suggesting that the scale of the related credit guarantees could reach several billion dollars.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang ( Jensen Huang ) stated earlier this month that he had informed the British company to work around the clock to overcome obstacles and get some data centers up and running as soon as possible.
In recent weeks, the overall environment for companies known as new clouds ( neoclouds ) that provide AI computing power, such as Nscale, has been continuously turbulent. Firmus Grid, another Australian new cloud company that also received investment from NVIDIA, abandoned its plan to go public, which involved $30 billion (equivalent to approximately 203.06 billion yuan at current exchange rates), and Elice in South Korea had a dismal trading performance on its first day of listing.
Bloomberg News previously reported that Nscale also discussed another collaboration worth $45 billion (about 300.459 billion yuan at current exchange rates) with Anthropic, which corresponds to the second building within the West Virginia park.
