In our coverage of transportation, we rarely come across such an interesting product as Jasion Poki that we are reviewing today.
Poki is an electric mini-motorcycle with significantly more power than necessary, looking as if it came straight from past eras. And if that power wasn't enough, it also comes with some really cool features; we're not just talking about the raised front end this time.
Jasion Poki Key Parameters:
- 6,720W: A massive peak power output from the central-mounted motor. On our earlier review models, it was labeled as 2kW, and at that time we thought there was something off about that. It turns out we were right; this is a power monster indeed.
- 260 N·m: The original low-rev torque propels the vehicle forward with a sudden burst of power. And there's also a nose-dive effect!
- 60V 30Ah: A large-capacity lithium-ion battery built into the chassis. The battery is located beneath the seats, resulting in a relatively high center of gravity.
- 50 mph: The highest speed mentioned by Jasion. With my weight of 200 pounds, I was able to reach a speed of 44 mph while riding crouched on flat ground. It shouldn't be able to go that fast. I think without someone weighing around 90 pounds wearing a tight cycling suit lying behind the handlebars, it wouldn't even be able to reach 50 mph.
- 60-mile range: At a speed of 30-40 mph, the actual range is expected to be close to half of this figure.
- 137.5 pounds: The net weight of the entire vehicle is quite substantial, making manual handling quite strenuous.
So, looking at this big guy, it's practically shouting "fun to ride!" The vehicle has a very low profile, with large and wide seats that can accommodate two people together weighing no more than 350 pounds. It's also equipped with dual footrests and a basket, making it perfect for outings with picnics and an extra helmet.
Heavy-duty design

This thing is designed to look like a tank, and indeed it weighs that much. When I tried to fit it into my SUV, my back even ached a bit, but it’s compact in size and actually fits well once inside. Once the handlebars are loosened, it becomes quite compact. However, its weight is still about 50 pounds more than I expected, which is close to 140 pounds.
This also makes the built-in tilting function seem a bit suspicious. My son is now almost a pro at tilting the car, and he finds this model more difficult to operate than the Anyland or the new Yozma IN11 models with automatic tilting features.
The interesting part
Well, this little “monster” not only allows you and your friends to move around the city with dignity, but it also makes it easier to ride with a raised head; there’s also a huge Bluetooth speaker installed at the back that sounds like a Harley, and it’s completely synchronized with the actual controller, so the sound is very realistic.
Of course, it's just a gimmick, but it's an interesting one. Moreover, it might actually make this low-profile car a bit safer, since most cars can't even see it.
Views of Electrek:
I really like this thing. It’s one of my favorite bikes to ride on the beach, and those fat tires perform well in the sand. However, I think it also has some significant drawbacks. First of all, it shouldn’t be able to reach speeds over 40 mph. Not only does it feel scary with such small wheels, but the speed swings also pose a great risk to both the rider and any second passenger sitting behind. This is an interesting bike, and its top speed should ideally be limited to between 20-28 mph. By keeping all the torque, we just need to limit the top speed to a reasonable range.
Additionally, it should also be lighter in weight. A weight of 140 pounds makes it quite difficult to fit into the trunk of a car, although in reality, it should be fairly easy to do so. Changing the frame to aluminum alloy would be of great help. Moreover, if this thing really ends up pressing down on you, that wouldn't be a pleasant experience at all.
