He Yixiang, co-founder of Binance, has issued a security warning to the crypto community, stating that fake reward activities and phishing links are spreading, and urging users to be vigilant against fraudulent promotions.
In a post on X, He Yi clarified that Binance’s community reward program requires regulatory approval before it can be launched. She stated that the review is expected to take place after the offices reopen tomorrow.
She also emphasized that there are currently no cash coupon promotions, and urged users to be vigilant against various phishing and scam links. As scammers take advantage of people's expectations for promotional activities to target cryptocurrency users, this clarification has drawn even more attention.
The former CEO of Trust Wallet and the interim Chief Marketing Officer of Binance, Eowyn Chen, also shared similar security warnings.
Chen stated in a X post containing fraud warnings that there would be no compensation for the suspension of withdrawals, urging users to pay attention to their safety and to only follow the updates from the official Binance account.
Meanwhile, scammers are spreading false compensation offers, with some claiming amounts of up to $150. User X @williamclay responded to a post by Chen stating that the screenshots of the so-called “free $150 compensation” were fake, and added that there is no compensation for the suspension of withdrawals. Users should regard any links that prompt them to “check their reward center” or claim their rewards as scams.
