Wilmington, Delaware, USA, November 2nd / PRNewswire / -- The Chemours Company ("Chemours") (NYSE : CC) Today, we introduce the Faizeon ™ two-phase liquid cooling solution, designed for artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and high-density data centers.

This product portfolio includes dielectric fluids designed for two-phase direct cooling and two-phase immersion cooling, providing data center operators and technical partners with efficient options to support evolving system architectures and dissipate heat from high-power processors and servers.

Chemours indicates that Faizeon ™ utilizes the principle of phase change, where the fluid absorbs heat and transforms from liquid to vapor, thereby achieving efficient and reliable heat dissipation in the context of AI and HPC promoting increases in chip power and rack density.

In independent third-party tests, a two-phase direct cooling system using Faizeon ™ 200 fluid was employed, which resulted in the temperature of the graphics processor ( GPU ) being 19 degrees Celsius lower than that of a single-phase water-based fluid solution, while also utilizing a lower flow rate of coolant.

Chemours, President and CEO, stated: "The rapid growth of AI is increasing the demand for data center infrastructure, and cooling has become a key bottleneck. With our liquid cooling solutions, we are leveraging over 90 years of experience in thermal management to help data centers handle higher heat loads, while also improving performance and significantly reducing energy and water consumption. Our Faizeon™ liquid cooling team is collaborating with all parties in the data center ecosystem to bring together the necessary expertise, testing, and support, so that we can confidently deploy two-phase liquid cooling in scaled-up scenarios."

Faizeon ™ Two-phase liquid cooling fluids for direct cooling and immersion cooling include:

  • Faizeon ™ 100: A low-pressure two-phase direct-cooled fluid, suitable for system architectures where operational pressure, material compatibility, and infrastructure factors are key considerations in deployment planning.
  • Faizeon ™ 110: A low-pressure two-phase direct-cooling fluid with a moderate boiling point and zero ozone depletion potential, suitable for advanced direct-cooling systems.
  • Faizeon ™ 200: High-performance two-phase direct-cooled fluid, which is also the industry standard for medium-pressure systems. It balances performance with environmental considerations and is suitable for advanced cooling architectures serving high-density AI and HPC processors.
  • Faizeon ™ 220: Chemours is the highest-performance two-phase direct-cooled fluid, suitable for scenarios where rapid heat dissipation is crucial, including high-density GPU environments, advanced AI clusters, and HPC deployments.
  • Faizeon ™ 500: A two-phase immersion cooling fluid, formerly known as Opteon ™ 2P50 dielectric fluid, is specifically designed for full-system immersion cooling. It boasts excellent dielectric properties, strong heat capture capabilities for the entire system, supports ultra-high density AI deployments, and has potential for waste heat recovery.

Faizeon ™ The advantages of fluids include:

  • Fluid recycling: Faizeon ™ The fluid is designed to support recycling, reprocessing, and reuse.

To support the continuous innovation and accelerated adoption of advanced liquid cooling technology, Chemours has collaborated with multiple parties in the data center ecosystem to promote the application of two-phase liquid cooling technology. These collaborations include interactions with Oak Ridge National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy ( ORNL ), NTT DATA , 2CRSi, DataVolt , Munters , Accelsius , and ZutaCore .
