Goldman Sachs has welcomed its latest cohort of partners.
This historic financial institution announced that it has promoted 109 executives to one of the most coveted titles on Wall Street, marking the largest promotion since 2010. The announcement on Thursday continued the bank's tradition of selecting a group of leaders every two years, which is usually made public in early November.
A senior executive stated that this list of partners reflects the future development direction of the company as perceived by CEO David Solomon and other members of the management team. The individual also mentioned that in this year's promotions across different positions, technical capabilities and interests, including a focus on artificial intelligence, played a role.

Becoming a partner at Goldman Sachs is a significant milestone in one's career. This title comes with substantial financial rewards and influence over the bank's direction of development, and it is also one of the most coveted honors on Wall Street. However, it is not an easy achievement. To be selected, one must put in years of hard work and achieve remarkable results, as well as go through a rigorous selection process internally referred to as “cross-ruffing,” a name that draws from the terminology of bridge gaming.
The following are some key statistics of this year's finalists:
- 85% of the partners come from revenue-generating positions, among whom 33 are from the asset and wealth management departments.
- 28% of the new partners initially joined the company as interns, and 39% initially joined through campus recruitment.
- The average tenure of new partners in the company is 17 years.
- New partners are distributed across a record-breaking 21 offices, with approximately 43% located outside of the Americas.
