According to CoinMeta, the developers of XRP Ledger ( XRPL ) have joined a global technology competition with the goal of achieving full quantum resistance by 2028. A contributor to the XRPL foundation, Vet, stated that a new security protocol hybrid deployment is expected to be launched in 2027, putting XRP Ledger ahead in industry competition. The plan is to complete the transition one year ahead of its main competitor Ethereum, whose roadmap extends until 2029. Experts point out that the main technical advantages of XRPL during migration include three key architectural features. Meanwhile, debates over technological leadership within the crypto community have intensified again, and Algorand reported the launch of quantum-safe accounts based on Falcon-1024 signatures. Vet called on the community not to exaggerate this achievement, noting that the architecture of Algorand is currently only partially protected. The comprehensive strategy for XRP Ledger involves security audits of each layer, including verifiers and network infrastructure, with plans to conduct tests in 2027 and complete the mainnet upgrade in 2028.
