On-chain detective Zachxbt warns Revolut of a suspected misjudgment of false information requests
2026-09-12 14:42:48
According to CoinMeta, the online investigator Zachxbt issued a warning on their personal channel, stating that Revolut seemingly misidentified a fake government information request as a legitimate one and provided some user data to the requester. This data included personal information and contact details, copies of identification documents, verification selfies, as well as IBAN, account statements, withdrawal records, and a complete transaction history that contained Bitcoin transactions. Zachxbt mentioned that, so far, it seems that not many people have been affected, but the relevant requests may have been targeted at high-net-worth users, and several users have already received notification emails from Revolut.
