Zcash Price Breaks Through $1,500, Shorts Face Heavy Losses
2026-09-19 14:37:12
According to CoinMeta, the price of Zcash broke through $1,500 for the first time on Friday morning, reaching a new historical high of $1,535. This upward trend has resulted in significant losses for short traders, with approximately $26.5 million in short positions being liquidated over the past 24 hours, while the amount liquidated for long positions in Zcash was only $5.1 billion. Despite previous signs of a market correction, the strong performance of Zcash surpassed that of most mainstream cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. The demand for Zcash ETF of Grayscale has increased significantly since trading began on NYSE Arca on August 25th, and the recently announced 3:1 split plan has further fueled market enthusiasm.
