According to CoinMeta, as reported by Bloomberg, the Federal Reserve unanimously raised the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points due to inflation levels that remain above targets for policymakers, as well as increasing uncertainties related to geopolitical developments. Joe Quinlan, head of market strategy at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America, stated in an interview with Bloomberg's "This Weekend" hosts David Gulla and Christina Laffini that persistently high diesel prices pose a particular concern for businesses and may continue to exert pressure on the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates further.
