Paraguay Seizes Two Crypto-Mining Facilities, Recovering 35 Mining Machines

According to CoinMeta, as reported by criptonoticias, Paraguayan authorities recently raided two crypto-mining facilities in the department of Upper Paraná, seizing a total of 35 mining machines. On September 17, one of the mining sites was found to be illegally drawing electricity through circuits without installed electric meters, and 10 ASIC mining machines were confiscated, with related costs and fines totaling approximately $30,000. In another operation on September 12, 25 mining machines were seized. The Paraguayan Chamber of Deputies has passed a resolution requesting the National Electricity Board to submit a report on the electricity consumption, electricity prices, and regulatory situation of the crypto-mining industry.
